Patrol

The officers who respond to almost all emergency and non-emergency requests to police make up the uniform patrol division.  These are the officers who arrive on scene first when a citizen calls for police assistance.  The patrol division works to keep our community safe by enforcing laws, assisting citizens, directing traffic, investigating accidents, and responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.  Often times just the presence of an officer can help to resolve a situation that might otherwise spiral out of control.

In addition to the daily duties listed above, there are several specialized areas in which patrol officers participate.  Click on the specific teams to learn more about any of the particular areas of enforcement officer may be a part of.
