Mayor’s 33rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt Returns to Shaker Farms Country Club
Please join Mayor Mike McCabe at the 33rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt, to be held on Saturday, March 28, at Shaker Farms Country Club, 866 Shaker Road.
The event begins at 9:00 AM, with the Westfield Food Pantry will be onsite to collect non-perishable food donations. Field games and face painting will be available, and families are encouraged to take photos with some of our community’s more colorful characters, including Sparky the Fire Dog, and Stanley Starfire. Shaker Farms will offer food and beverages for purchase.
The hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 AM for children aged 1-10 to collect plastic eggs filled with small toys or candy in an area designated for their age group. Participants must bring their own container for their collected eggs. After the hunt, the Easter Bunny will arrive by firetruck to greet the crowd, then be seated to receive visits from families and provide a photo opportunity.
“I am grateful to Nancy Kotowictz for hosting us at Shaker Farms again this year and being the Honorary Chair of this year’s event.” said Mayor McCabe, “Many thanks to the Westfield G+E, and the Kiwanis Club of Westfield who have donated the filled eggs for this event, and the student volunteers and the Fire Department for helping us to create happy memories for our local children and families”
In case of inclement weather, a rain date of Sunday, March 29, with a 12:00 PM event start time and a 1:00 PM hunt, will be announced on Friday, March 27th at noon, on the City Webpage, www.cityofwestfield.org, and the Mayor’s Facebook page.
