On 10/30/2024 at about 10:00 a.m. the WPD will be placing barricades and barrels in the westbound lane of Franklin Street from Elm Street up to Maple Street.
This is not a new traffic pattern nor a road diet. These tapers are to show the already existing one lane of travel along this portion of the roadway. Our hopes and intentions are to slow drivers down to allow for safer pedestrian crossing as well as for turning vehicles into local businesses.
