2023 Early Voting
2023 Vote by Mail Application OR 2023 Vote by Mail Application for Household OR ONLINE- Please complete, "hand" sign or electronically sign so that is substantially the same way as by hand (typed fonts are not acceptable) and submit to the City Clerk's Office via email attachment to votewestfield@cityofwestfield.org, or by fax to 413-564-3114, or by mail to Westfield City Clerk's Office, 59 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085 or deposit in the WHITE drop box located outside of Westfield City Hall. Voters can check the status of their ballot by using the Track My Ballot link.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
Apply and submit as early as possible, especially if your ballot will need to be mailed out of town. The application must reach the City Clerk's office by 5 PM on the 5th business before the election. The U.S. Postal Service recommends allowing up to 7 to 10 days for mail delivery. To ensure you receive your ballot with enough time to mail it back, you should apply 2-3 weeks before Election Day.
- 5 pm on Wednesday, September 13th for the September 19th Municipal Preliminary
- 5 pm on Wednesday, November 1st for the November 7th Municipal Election
EARLY VOTING IN-PERSON
In-person early voting is optional and requires at least 50% of the Board of Registrars to request in-person early voting AND the City Council must vote to approve. The status is to be determined. Please check for updates on the status of early voting in-person for the 2023 Municipal Elections.
Absentee Voting
Unlike early voting, which is currently available only for certain state elections, absentee voting is available for all elections. Absentee voting is available to those who qualify.
